LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Kranti Dal leader Beni Prasad Verma on Monday alleged that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh was "terrorising" his party's candidate for the coming Assembly elections and demanded his arrest. "Mr. Singh is terrorising the SKD candidate for the Kundarki Assembly constituency in Moradabad district. It is an offence for which the Chief Minister should be arrested," he told reporters here. Mr. Verma, who parted ways with Mr. Singh recently, said he would write to the Election Commission. He also demanded the dismissal of the State Government, claiming it had lost its majority in the Assembly. He said the Governor should direct Mr. Singh to prove his majority in the House. The rebel leader's newly floated SKD has tied-up with the Indian Justice Party and the Nationalist Congress Party for the elections. PTI
