CHENNAI: The Pattali Makkal Katchi staged a demonstration here on Tuesday, demanding a ban on cricket for five years.

Led by PMK founder S. Ramadoss, party members raised slogans against cricket and said public money was being wasted on the game. They called for greater support to traditional sports such as `kabbadi' and `silambattam.'

They enacted a street play to demonstrate public wrath against cricketers.
