Curtain raiser of World Health Day fete

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A curtain raiser programme of the World Health Day celebrations organised by Terumo Penpol Limited, Club 25 units of various colleges and College Union Blood Donor's Forum was inaugurated by Law Minister M. Vijayakumar on Tuesday.

The programme included an elocution competition on `Community Service Through Blood Donation', talk shows on voluntary blood donation, panel discussions on the concept of Club 25 (where youth in the age group 18 to 25 form blood donor clubs) and a blood donation drive by Club 25 members of the Mohandas College of Engineering, a release said.

A Youth Blood Donation Camp was also organised on the occasion and will last till April 7. Managing director of Terumo Penpol C. Balagopal delivered the keynote address at the inaugural ceremony.
