BC forum to move court

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: T. Bala Goud, president Andhra Pradesh BC Sangham, on Tuesday said they would file a review petition in the court seeking vacation of the stay on 27 per cent reservations for OBCs in higher educational institutions.

At a press conference, the former MP said those from the Backward Classes were already agitating for their rights and the Supreme Court order has come as a setback for them. He wanted the Centre to amend the Constitution so that reservations could be implemented at least from the next academic year. B. Babu Rao Varma, former member, National Commission for BCs, said he was in favour of the bandh called for Wednesday.
