MLC gives an earful to policemen

HYDERABAD:
Newly-elected MLC M.V.S. Sarma, had an unpleasant experience at the hands of police in the Assembly premises on Tuesday.
Mr. Sarma, who is managing editor of Telugu daily, Prajasakti, was elected to the Council from Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram graduates' constituency. He arrived in for the joint session of the Council and the Assembly on a motorcycle and parked the vehicle in a parking slot earmarked for legislators.
As his two-wheeler carried a `press' sticker, the duty policemen apparently decided that it was parked at the wrong place and took away the spark plug.
Incensed at their action, the MLC gave an earful to the policemen and asked them why they assumed that legislators must come only in cars.
