Gammon India to build bridge across Godavari

HYDERABAD:
Gammon India Ltd. will build a bridge across the Vynateya branch of the Godavari between Pasarlapudi and Bodasakurru on National Highway No. 214 (Kathipudi-Pamarru).
Disclosing this here on Tuesday, Chief Engineeri (National Highways) of the Roads and Buildings Department G.V.S. Suryanarayana Raju said that the project was estimated to cost close to Rs. 60 crores.
Funding
The Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways would fund the project.
This would minimise the distance between Amalapauram and Razole by 18 km.
The length of the bridge was 1 km with approaches stretching up to another kilometre. The bridge would be completed in three years. The project cost could go up by the time it was completed.
