THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle C-8 (PSLV C-8) will be launched from the Satish Dhavan Space Centre (SHAR), Sriharikotta at 3 p.m. on April 23. Director of the VSSC B. N. Suresh said that preparations were in full swing for the smooth launch of PSLV C-8, which has the ISRO's first fully commercial launch. He said PSLV, through this launch, would place into orbit Italy's scientific satellite `Agile.' The satellite, weighting 360 kg, would be placed into Polar Synchronous Orbit 550 km away and then handed over to Italy. Along with this, an Advanced Avionics Module (AAM) weighing 185 kg would be launched as second payload.
