Desilting machine inaugurated

Rajahmundry: Mayor Aadireddy Veeraraghavamma on Wednesday inaugurated desilting machine, high pressure jetting and road sweeper, which were purchased at a cost of Rs.16.10 lakhs with 12th Finance Commission funds by the Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation.

Municipal Engineer M. Vinaykumar and DE Samson Raju explained the functioning of the machines to the Mayor.

She said the desilting machine was useful to clear even the hard silt stuck in drains and the jetting machine would be useful to remove silt in drains completely closed with mud.

Superintending Engineer CBK Raju, assistant engineers DS Prakasha Rao and TA Lincon were present at the function.
