Golden jubilee celebrations to begin on April 8

KANNUR: The golden jubilee of the settlement of families belonging to the Malankara Marthoma Syrian Church in Malabar will be celebrated at the Bathel Marthoma Parish Church at Niduvalur here on April 8.

Parish Vicar Aji Varghese said here on Wednesday that the laying of foundation of the new church and the opening of the newly-built parsonage would also be held as part of the celebration. Minister for Co-operation G. Sudhakaran would inaugurate the golden jubilee function at Niduvalur at 4.30 p.m. on April 8.

Marthoma Church's Malabar head Thomas Mar Timothos Episcopa would also participate in the function. The golden jubilee function would continue till next year, he said.
