`Should have resigned immediately after the High Court made its observations'

KOCHI: Minister for Local Self-Government Paloli Mohammed Kutty should resign following the High Court's observations, former Health Minister K.K. Ramachandran has said.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Mr. Ramachandran said the Minister should have resigned immediately after the High Court made its first observation in the case.

The delay in seeking the resignation of the Minister demonstrates the CPI(M)'s disrespect to the judiciary, he said.

Mr. Ramachandran said NCP leader K. Karunakaran's return to the Congress was a national issue.
