KARIMNAGAR : The private medical practitioners of Indian Medical Association (IMA) district unit, who have announced closure of all private hospitals and clinics on April 4 and 5 in protest against the attacks on doctors have called off their agitation following an assurance from the district administration. Responding to the IMA bandh call, all private hospitals and clinics have remained closed on Wednesday. However, Collector M V Satyanarayana had assured to solve the doctors problems by protecting the private hospitals from attacks with the help of the police. Following an assurance, the doctors have started treating emergency cases from Wednesday evening onwards. In a press note here, the Collector appealed to the general public not to attack private hospitals. He suggested the patients approach legally to get justice in case of denial of proper medicare at the private hospitals. He also warned people of serious action if they take law into their hands and resort to attacks on private hospitals and doctors.
