Ashok Leyland registers record sales

CHENNAI : Ashok Leyland has closed the fiscal ended March 31 with all-time high sales of 83,101 vehicles. This represents a 35 per cent growth over its 2005-06 sales of 61,655 vehicles. Sales in the domestic medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment touched 76,741, reflecting a 37 per cent growth. Exports volumes are also up 23 per cent at 6,025 vehicles.
