SAI posts win

MUMBAI: Sports Authority of India downed Junior Bombay XI 2-1 in the 45th Bombay Gold Cup hockey first round knockout at the Mahindra stadium. A penalty stroke conversion by Prashant Kumar (41st minute) and a penalty corner goal by Navneet Swarnakar (62) helped SAI's cause, out of seven corners forced.

The local side pulled one back via a Anukool Bharadwaj field goal (54). — Special Correspondent
