In women's recurve event, Dola Banerjee, Sushma and Chekrovolu Swuro defeated Spain's Beatriz Cabrero, Magali Foulon, Almudena Gallardo (208-200) convincingly to reach the second round. But, in the next round, the Indians were outplayed (197-211) by the Koreans. In the women's compound event, the India team comprising Bhegyabati Chanu, Jhanu Hansdah and Namita Yadav, got the better of Indonesia's Lilies Handayani, Lilies Helialti and Foury Akadiani Kusumaniah (216-208). Later, they were tamed by Jahna Davis, Joayn Fleury and Jamie Van Natta (212-216) in the second round.
