Wards' reservation list released

BELLARY: The Urban Development Department has released the list for reservation of wards in the Bellary City Municipal Corporation, Hospet City Municipal Council, Kampli Town Municipal Council and seven Town Panchayats in Bellary district.

In the 35-member Bellary City Municipal Corporation, 15 wards are for general category candidates of which five are reserved for women.

Nine wards have been reserved for OBC (A) of which two for women, SC 5 (2), ST 4 (2) and OBC (B) 2 (1).

Following is the ward-wise reservation as per the notification issued by the Urban Development Department:

Ward no. 1 General, two General (Woman) 3 and 4 OBC (A), 5 and 6 General, 7 SC, 8 ST, 9 OBC (B), 10 General (Woman), 11 General, 12 OBC (B) (Woman), 13 OBC (A) (Woman), 14 General, 15 OBC (A), 16 SC (Woman), 17 General, 18 General (Woman), 19 (OBC (A), 20 General, 21 General (Woman), 22 OBC (A) (Woman), 23 OBC (A), 24 OBC (A) (Woman), 25 OBC (A), 26 General, 27 SC (Woman), 28 SC, 29 General (Woman), 30 SC, 31 OBC (A), 32 General, 33 ST, 34 General and 35 ST (Woman).
