Naidu's campaign ridiculed

HYDERABAD: The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) has ridiculed TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu's campaign against the State Government on the Babli project.

In a statement here on Thursday, Government Whip D. Sridhar Babu said the TDP was acting against the State's interest.

The Maharashtra Government had given an administrative sanction of Rs.93 crores to the project in 1995 and called for tenders in 2003 but Mr. Naidu took no steps to prevent the work despite being in power, he recalled.
