Infant dies after fall

VISAKHAPATNAM: Harikrishna, one and a half years old, fell into a pit and died near Kurupam market on Thursday morning.

He was left in the care of a watchman as his parents, daily wage earners, had gone for work. The boy fell into the pit but the watchman did not notice him for sometime.

He sustained a head injury and was bleeding profusely.

He was shifted to a hospital, where he died. One-town assistant SI K. Venkataswamy is investigating the case.
