Police top brass shuffled

New SPs for several districts

BHUBANESWAR: In a major reshuffle in the State police cadre, the State government on Thursday transferred as many 16 Indian Police Service officers. The reshuffle would see several districts getting new Superintendents of Police.

As per the official notification, K.D. Sambhaji, at present Superintendent of Police, Rourkela, is transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Jajpur, in place of A.K Panigrahi.

Mr. Panigrahi has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police in place of S. Panda who has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police of Bargarh district. N.B. Bharathi, who is Superintendent of Police, Bargarh, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Crime Investigation Department, Cuttack, in place of Vinaytosh Mishra, who has been deputed to the Commerce and Transport Department.

G.S.K. Iswardas, who is Superintendent of Police in-charge of Kandhamal district, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police in Malkangiri district in place of H.K. Lal. However, he will have the additional charge of Superintendent of Police, Boudh.

Mr. Lal has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police in Bolangir district in place of N. Bhol who has been transferred as Superintendent of Police, Kandhamal.

Likewise, P.S. Ranpise, who is Superintendent of Police, Balasore, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police Kendrapara in place of S. Parida who has been transferred and posted in Rourkela against an existing vacancy.

Prateek Mohanty, who is Superintendent of Police, Dhenkanal, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police, Angul. K. Kaushal, who is SDPO, Sambalpur, and Superintendent of Police in-charge, Jaharsuguda, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police.

S.K. Singh, who is Superintendent of Police, Angul, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj. Ravi Kant, who is Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj, has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Rourkela.

Patil A. Bhagwatrao, who is Superintendent of Police in-charge, Sonepur, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Balasore. A.K. Sarangi, who is Additional Superintendent of Police, Cuttack, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Sonepur.

B.K. Sahoo, who is Superintendent of Police, Boudh, has been posted in the Vigilance Department.
