HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday assured members of the Andhra Pradesh Police Officers' Association (APPOA) that the State Government would extend all cooperation to police personnel and ensure that they had no grievances.

He was inaugurating a new office building for APPOA adjacent to the DGP's office here. He said that any development was possible only if peace along with law and order prevailed in the State and there was no way his Government would neglect them. Home Minister K. Jana Reddy and Director General of Police M. A. Basith were present.

Construction

Responding to a plea from APPOA president Anantha Ramulu about release of TA arrears pending for past 10 months and an additional weightage increment linked to service, Dr. Reddy said that he would ensure the TA arrears were released in a month. He also congratulated APPOA for constructing an office.

APPOA general secretary K.V. Ram Narasimha Reddy said the building was built on a piece of land measuring 1,000 square yards allotted when S. R. Sukumara was the DGP. The built-up area of 4,000 sq. ft. would be used by APPOA for its activities with space for a conference hall, library and staff restrooms.
