`Arivina Mane' inaugurated

BANGALORE: The community children of Akkiappa Garden in the city's Yeswanthpura now has a "house of enlightenment" called "Arivina Mane" to take lessons from. This library, packed with books, newspapers, multi-media CDs and computer for students between the age group of 6 to 14 was thrown open here on Thursday.

Sponsored by Motorola, the library doubles up as a crèche for children in the morning.

Paraspara, a Non-Government Organisation along with the Indian Literacy Programme (ILP), had taken up the project.

The crèche has been active for the last four years.
