Life goes on in city
Well! The bandh observed in the twin cities the other day indeed became a talking point as to how far it was successful.
If some chose to describe it a success citing withdrawal of public transport service and delayed running of trains and buses, others felt it had no impact whatsoever with majority of public finding no major deviation from their routine.
But if one equates success with city wearing a deserted look, then the city was abuzz as usual sans RTC buses on roads and most of the commercial and private organisations functioning near normal.
Autorickshaws were seen in full strength though some drivers made a quick buck citing bandh.
Whether the bandh was a success or not, it certainly defied normal definitions of success or failure.
