Administrative approval for Murgod lift irrigation scheme

Belgaum: The State Government has accorded administrative approval to the long-pending Murgod Lift Irrigation scheme, according to Minister for Horticulture and district incharge Shashikant A. Naik. In a press release here on Friday, Mr. Naik said the Cabinet gave its approval to the scheme. The Government has also accorded administrative approval for the Pachadi Lift Irrigation scheme.

The estimated cost of the Murgod lift irrigation scheme is Rs. 22.536 crore while it is Rs.24.60 crore in respect of Pachadi lift irrigation scheme.

Also, the Government gave its consent for the Hippargi irrigation project involving Rs. 1,113 crore, the Minister added in teh press release.
