New Delhi: India's Saurav Ghosal defeated local favourite Mohammed Hajeyah 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 in the first round of the qualifiers to inch closer to the main draw of the Sheikha Al Saad Kuwait Open squash. The 20-year-old will now play England's Alister Walker on Saturday for a place in the main draw of the World's richest squash in Hawalli, according to information reaching here. Walker got the better of Egypt's Yasser El Halaby 9-11, 11-10 (2-0), 11-4, 11-9. Earlier, India's sole challenge in the women's section ended with Deepika Pallikal crashing out after a 9-0, 9-1, 9-1 drubbing by Egypt's Raneem El Weleily in just 21 minutes. PTI
