Sandeep Dash deputed to BBMP

BANGALORE: After nearly a year, the Government has deputed Sandeep Dash as Additional Commissioner (Finance) of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP).

The post, which had fallen vacant after the former Additional Commissioner (Finance) P.K. Srihari was transferred last May, has been filled five days after the BBMP budget was presented.

Prior to his deputation to the BBMP, Mr. Dash was working as the Executive Director (Finance) at the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation.

Cleared

BBMP personnel on Thursday cleared encroachments on the footpath on Kamakhya Main Road.

More than 22 shops were removed and building material, scrap and other items such as boards and hoardings have been seized, according to a press release.
