Mumbai: The Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA), a full member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC) and a Working Committee member by virtue of being a permanent Test centre, did not send a representative to attend the important BCCI meeting on Saturday. "It was a very important Working Committee meeting where several decisions were taken, but the DDCA was absent," said an official.
BCCI's WC members
The principal office-bearers, vice-presidents, representatives of permanent Test centres are the Working Committee (WC) members of the BCCI. Five member units from each zone by rotation are allowed to attend the Working Committee. Maharashtra and the Cricket Club of India were not represented in the BCCI in any capacity and hence MCA President Ajay Shirke and CCI President Rajsingh Dungarpur were invited to attend the meeting. "If the Working Committee is held in New Delhi and if, for example Himachal Pradesh or any other State is not represented in any capacity in the BCCI, their representatives are invited to attend the meeting. The same applies for the other zones," said a BCCI official. Special Correspondent
