Dorjee Khandu new Arunachal Chief Minister

GUWAHATI: Arunachal Pradesh Power Minister Dorjee Khandu was sworn in Chief Minister on Monday after Gegong Apang quit the post ending a 10-day-long political crisis, which was sparked by dissidence within the ruling Congress.

The dissidents demand Mr. Apang's removal.

Mr. Khandu was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Nagaland Governor K. Sankaranarayanan, who assumed additional charge as Arunachal Pradesh Governor only on Saturday.
