N. Lakshmi Narayanan
NEW DELHI: N. Lakshmi Narayanan, Vice-Chairman, Board of Directors, Cognizant Technology Solutions, has been appointed the new Chairman of the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) for 2007-08, while Ganesh Natarajan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Zensar Technologies, will be its new Vice-Chairman. Announcing the appointments, Nasscom President, Kiran Karnik, said that under the guidance of Mr. Narayanan, who played an important role, both as a member and as Nasscom's Vice-Chairman last year, the organisation would attain even greater levels of maturity. Reacting to his appointment as the new Nasscom Chairman, Mr. Narayanan said: "At this stage of the industry's evolution and maturity, the three areas that would receive enhanced focus are innovation, talent development, and security and data protection."
