Pomeyie shines

Margao : Andrews Pomeyie scored a brace in the second half to guide Mahindra United to a 3-1 win over Happy Valley of Hong Kong in the home tie of a group E encounter in the AFC cup here on Tuesday.

With this third successive win Mahindra consolidated its position at the top of the table.

Mahindra, which led 1-0 at half time, scored through S.Venkatesh (41st) and Pomeyie (72nd, 76th). Happy Valley reduced the margin in the 56th minute through Gerard Ambassa. — PTI
