A clarification on a legal dispute

With reference to the news report published in The Hindu of April 7 with the headline `A matter of legal dispute' and the earlier report `Property development the Ozone Propex way' published on March 19, the directors of Sri Krishna Tiles and Potteries (Madras) Private Ltd. A. K. Muthuswamy and A. R. Santhanakrishnan write:

A plethora of public notices are being published in The Hindu and other newspapers on a day to day basis. Your news item contains an imputation that the contents of any publication are true and correct while you are fully aware that it is only a matter of perception by the parties concerned.

In any event, on March 23, 2007, the Company Law Board before whom the matter referred to in your item is pending has given a clear and categorical operation and ordered as follows: "At the request by counsel for petitioners in his communication dated 23.03.2007, adjourned finally to 27.04.2007 at 11 am. Taking into (consideration) the apprehension expressed on behalf of the respondents, the petitioners will not act in any manner causing prejudice to the rights of the respondents until disposal of the petition, which includes the rights of the proposed parties and subject matter of the proceedings."

It will be clear that the order dated 10.01.2006 published in The Hindu on 18.01.2007 one year after passing of the order has in any event been superseded in the above said order.
