Letters to the Editor
This refers to the ongoing row over reservation for OBCs in higher education. The authorities seem to have forgotten that the meritorious also need reservation. Let governments continue to extend reservation to various religious groups, castes, and sub-castes. But a law should also be enacted ensuring that at least 25 top rank holders in school final examinations in each State get admission to a course of their choice with full scholarship, irrespective of religion, caste or sub-caste.
