Coimbatore : Pankaj Advani of PSPB defeated Kamal Chawla of Railways 6-2 to emerge champion in the snooker tournament for the Reliance Mobile Trophy at the CBA Hall here. Pankaj made a break of 49 in the opening frame. However, Kamal came up with small breaks to level scores before the World champion potted the black to seal the frame. The next four frames were equally fought, but in the sixth Pankaj had a long red pot. He made good use of that to score a century break.
Table tennis camp
The Youngsters Table Tennis Coaching Academy will conduct a summer coaching camp and yoga classes at Coimbatore for boys and girls (6 to 18 years) from April 23 to May 13. Call K. Raghuraman 2441 477 or 94433 24414 for details.
Football camp
The annual summer coaching camp for the under-14 boys and girls organised by the Nilgiris District Football Association (NDFA) will be held at the HADP Open Air Stadium in Udhagamandalam from April 15.
