Rajahmundry: The Telugu Desam Party has claimed that it handled power crisis well during its regime, while the Congress government failed to provide uninterrupted power supply for at least five hours a day. Telugu Desam leaders Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary, Ganni Krishna, M.S. Chakravarti and others, who addressed a press conference here on Tuesday said that generation as well as distribution of power from last two and half years has totally collapsed. Mr. Chowdary said instead of taking any concrete steps, the Congress government was attributing its failure to the TDP government. He also alleged that State also failed to get its share from other states. The present power cut was badly affecting drinking water supply in urban as well as protected drinking water supply in rural areas.
