Crops damaged in hailstorm

HYDERABAD: Hailstorm hit parts of Nalgonda and Karimnagar on Tuesday damaging crops over 2,000 acres even as other areas in the State received pre-summer showers.

Disaster Management Commissioner Preeti Sudan said the hailstorm damaged mostly paddy in V. Ramaram in Naglonda district and Indurthi in Karimnagar. Duststorm battered many towns bringing several areas under clouds of dust.
