"Don't hamper Polavaram"

HYDERABAD:
Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has asked the Telangana Rashtra Samiti not to create hurdles in the construction of Indirasagar (Polavaram) project. He asserted that the Government was committed to protecting the interests of Telangana by giving priority to projects in the region.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the Government was working out modalities for implementing GO 610 . He was replying to queries raised by TRS member K. Dileep Kumar in the Legislative Council on Tuesday.
Dr. Reddy said the Government had initiated several measures for the welfare of the people in fluoride-affected Nalgonda where works on projects to provide safe drinking water to all habitations utilising 197 tmc ft of Krishna water were in progress.
