BANGALORE: Two youths died on the spot when their motorcycle rammed a stationary truck on National Highway 4 in Nelamangala police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday. Police said the accident occurred around 1.30 a.m. near Dodderi. The dead were identified as Narasimha Murthy (23) and Yogesh (22), both garment factory employees and residents of Goruguntepalya here. Murthy, along with Yogesh, was on his way to Gundenahalli to visit his sister.
House burgled
Burglars struck at Srikanth's house in Ramamurthynagar police station limits and made away with gold jewellery and a camera, together worth Rs. 1 lakh. The thieves broke into the house at Vishvesvarayanagar by cutting the window grills when Srikanth and his family members were away for three days. The incident came to light after they returned on Monday night. The Ramamurthynagar police have registered a case.
Arrested
The Nelamangala police arrested four persons who had allegedly murdered Dingi Krishna, a history-sheeter, following gang rivalry on March 26. The arrested were identified as Shiva Kumar (23) and Shivaraj (25), both residents of Gayathrinagar, Puttuswamy (32) of Nandini Layout and Abhishek (26) of Vijayanagar. All the four are the accomplices of history sheeter Jagga of Gayathrinagar, the police said.
Recovered
The Ramamurthynagar police arrested three persons on charges of burglary and recovered from them copper cables, nickel ingots and electronic goods, together worth Rs. 3.5 lakh. The three — Afsar (23), Syed Nayaz (20) and Zameer Ahmed (23) — are residents of Vijinapura.
