Arrested for drunk driving

KOCHI: A parcel lorry transporting medicines rammed three cars, two bikes and a shop at Edapally at 8.45 p.m. on Tuesday. The police said that the lorry driver John, 37, was found drunk and arrested. The lorry was going to Kozhikode from Kochi. The occupants of the car escaped with minor injuries. — Staff Reporter

Minister inaugurates hospital block

KOCHI: Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy inaugurated the hospital block of Ayur Vaid in Aluva on Tuesday. She said that steps would soon be taken to prepare a list of the number of patients in Government and private hospitals in the State, in order to make available better medical care. — Staff Reporter
