Students killed in road accident
A first year engineering student Sainath, 18, died while two of his classmates sustained injuries when a tractor hit the motorcycle they were travelling on near Ibrahimpatnam on Tuesday. The three youngsters were going to Guru Nanak engineering college in Ibrahimpatnam, local police said.

In another incident, Pallavai, 19, a first year engineering student, who was riding pillion on a bike, died when she came under the rear tyres of a bus after the two-wheeler skidded at Neredmet road on Tuesday night.
Vijaya Sarathi, who was riding the vehicle, also sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a private hospital.
Brothel raided
Crime Investigation Department officials on Tuesday arrested 10 persons, including three alleged female sex workers, after raiding a brothel in Chaitanyapuri under Saroornagar police station. Jyothi, who was organising the brothel for past three years by securing sex workers from different parts of the State on a contract basis, was among those arrested.
