BHUBANESWAR: Adding more colour to the cultural canvas of the capital city, Kalinga Flute Academy and the annual Guru Mohini Mohan Utsav was launched here on Wednesday. Renowned musician Raghunath Panigrahi, Culture Secretary Gopinath Panigrahi and Regional Manager of Sahara India B.K.Srivastav inaugurated it at the open air auditorium of Ekamra Haat. The Academy has been set up by the disciples of flute maestro Mohini Mohan Patnaik who has groomed the largest number of flute players in the country, said Academy secretary Sreenivas Satpathy. Professor Patnaik was conferred the lifetime achievement award by Sahara India Pariwar at Lucknow recently. Vocalist Damodar Hota was honoured with the Sadhana Siddhi award on the occasion for his life time contribution to music.
