Water conservation

R.V. College of Engineering is conducting a skill development-training programme through science and technology and the themes are rainwater harvesting for rural water security. The event will take place at seminar hall on the college campus at Banashankari at 11 a.m.

Free camp

St. John's Ambulance (India), Karnataka State Centre, is organising a free bone mineral densitometry camp and a diabetes detection camp on its premises at S.R. Nagar. The camp will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. For details, call 22223384.

For learning disabled

Sr. S.R. Chandrasekhar institute of Speech and Hearing is holding a special camp from April 23 to 28 for children and adolescents with learning disability.

The focus of the camp will be to provide remedial support in overcoming problems in reading, writing and mathematics. For details, call 25460405.

Power interruption

There will be power interruption at North Road, Ashoka Road, Hutchins Road, Davis Road, D'Costa Layout and surrounding areas from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Water adalat

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board is holding a water adalat from 9.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the office of the Assistant Executive engineer of North -2 sub division at Malleswaram 18th cross. Free coaching

BDS results

The results of BDS final year Part I and Part II (96-97 and RS batches) examinations conducted during February and March 2007 were released on April 10.

Education loan

The Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation Ltd. will extend financial assistance to the students of religious minorities for taking up professional courses such as Medical, Nursing, Dental and Master Degree courses.

The loan will be charged at 2 per cent rate of interest and has to be repaid after completion of the course. Students, whose parents' annual income does not exceed Rs. 22,000 per annum are eligible. Call 22864720.
