AFI's screening test from May 5

HYDERABAD: The Athletic Federation of India (AFI) will conduct a gradation-cum-screening test for technical officials at the GMC Balayogi Stadium, Gachibowli from May 5 to 7.

Those successful will be trained for the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in the year 2010. Prof. K. Ranga Rao, Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Athletic Association, Ph: 90441 254615 and B.E. Stanley Jones, Ph: 93466 16266 have more details.

Kedia tennis tournament

The Kedia all-India talent series tennis tournament for boys and girls under 12 and 14 years and the Hyderabad Open for boys and girls under 10 years, will be held at the SAAP Complex, L.B. Stadium, Hyderabad, from April 30 to May 4.

Entries may be sent to J. Surender Nath Goud (27654383, 9347254383) on or before April 23. Signing in for qualifiers will be on April 27 and the main draw on April 29, between 12 noon and 2 p.m. on both days.

Cricket camps

St. John's, Secunderabad, will conduct a cricket camp from April 16 to May 31(between 6 to 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 to 6.30 p.m.). For details contact: 9848966882, 9849111174.

All Saints School is conducting a cricket coaching camp form April 15 to June 7. The timing is between 6 to 11 p.m. Contact school for details.

Waltair Club bridge

Nearly 300 players from all over the country will participate in the Waltair Club open bridge tournament from April 14 to 16 in Visakhapatnam.

Competitions will be conducted in team of four duplicate, board a match and pairs events.

Twenty20 tournament

The Kalanikethan corporate cricket cup Twenty20 tournament will be held in Visakhapatnam from April 14. Twelve teams are participating.

The matches will be played over two days a week for the next month.

The league matches will be held on April 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. The semifinals will be on May 5 and the final on May 6.
