HYDERABAD: S. Suryaprakasa Rao, Secretary, Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, was removed from service on Thursday, 22 months ahead of the expiry of his tenure. A Deputy Director and a security man of the commission went to his flat in Ashok Chandra Apartments at Red Hills here at 8.30 a.m. to hand over the termination orders but he refused to receive it. As he came to his office later, he found his chamber locked. Mr. Rao, however, opened the chamber with a spare key available with him even as securitymen tried to prevent him. He took his personal belongings, signed the register and left the office.
