PUDUKOTTAI: It is talent and not the age of a person that matters when it comes to imparting a skill. The inaugural of a yoga session at Mahatma Women's Teacher Training Institute and Mahamuth Ammal Teacher Training Institute at Ariyoor near here was marked by special demonstration by A. Sentamizhselvi (10), who has won the State Champion Award in Yoga. Through rigorous practice for the past three years, she has realised the intricacies of several `asanas.' The founder of Thavayoga Salai, Aranthangi, K. Ajaykumar Ghosh, explained the advantage of each asana the girl demonstrated. "Salabasana, Dhanurasana and Bhujangasana enhance a person's memory power, disciplining thought process," he said. Yoga helps in improving health as well. The Founder Chairman of Mahatma Women's Teacher Training Institute, N. Mohamed Nasar, and the Advisory Committee member, M.S. Haja Mohideen, said that such sessions would be regular ones for first year students of the institute. It would help them develop concentration and improve teaching skill.
