Isolated rain in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at a few places over Kerala and south interior Karnataka.

Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Rayalaseema and north interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over coastal Andhra Pradesh and dry weather prevailed over coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: Punalur 6, Thuckalay (Kanyakumari dt.) 5, Thiruvananthapuram Airport 4.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over south Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over coastal Karnataka.

Forecast for Chennai City and Neighbourhood (Valid until Saturday Morning): Partly cloudy. Possibility of shower or thundershower in some areas. Maximum temperature around 35 degree Celsius.

Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
