to Alappuzha and Kottayam on Thursday, spent the last day interacting with representatives and members of traditional industries including coir, coconut and fishing at Thrikkunnapuzha.

The team, which held its sitting at the Thrikkunnapuzha LP School, will return for a fourth round of visits and interaction with the local community on various aspects of the development of Kuttanad on April 17.

While the third round of the team's visit that concluded on Thursday concentrated on hearing out problems faced by farmers, women groups, self help groups and other members of traditional industries, the next round would be mostly on environmental issues and would also involve discussions with local bodies including the District Panchayat and Grama Panchayats.
