Vishu celebrations

The Nair Service Society (NSS) Visakhapatnam will celebrate `Vishu', the New Year of Kerala, at 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, at Kerala Kala Samithi auditorium. The event will begin with the traditional `Vishukkani' and `Vishukkaineettam' followed by various cultural programmes by children and `Sadya' (lunch). Interested members and families of the Nair community can participate in the event.

Load shedding

Power supply will be disrupted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday in TPT Colony, The Hindu press, Eenadu press, IOL Company, Nakkavanipalem and KRM Colony due to pre-monsoon inspection of 11 KV IOL feeder.

There will be no power supply in some areas of the city served by the 11 kv Amarnagar feeder. The areas are: Amar Nagar, Rama Talkies junction, Chaitanya College area, Timpany School area, CBM Compound and adjoining areas.

Training classes

Chairman of Andhra Pradesh Press Academy Devulapalli Amar is participating in the inaugural session of training classes for mofussil journalists at Araku Valley on April 15. He will arrive here from Hyderabad on Sunday morning and leave for Araku. Mr. Amar returns to Visakhapatnam after participating in the meeting at Araku and leave for Hyderabad later in the afternoon.
