TIRUCHI: Immigration officials caught a passenger for travelling on a forged passport at the airport here on Thursday on his arrival from Singapore. Rajkumar (32) of K. Pallivasal in Pudukottai district was handed over to the Airport Police. Airport sources said that Rajkumar had obtained a passport in his original name in 1996 and left for Singapore where he worked as an electrician. Before the expiry of the work contract period, he returned to India in 1998. Since he wanted to work in Singapore again, Rajkumar feared that his entry would be banned as he had returned before his contract ended. His relative had arranged for the forged passport in the name of Mathi, with the domicile as Kumbakonam. Later, Rajkumar left for Singapore and made two trips to India via Chennai. He was caught when he returned via Tiruchi.
