No change in exam schedule

KOCHI: The Controller of Examinations of the Cochin University of Science and Technology has rejected the demand made by a section of students to postpone the first and second semester examinations of B.Tech (2006 admission). In a statement here on Thursday, the Controller said the duration of the semester was 75 days, as per the rules set by the university, and there would be no change in the examination schedule. - Staff Reporter

Teachers' protest

Kochi: The Federation of Higher Secondary School Teachers Association on Thursday boycotted valuation camps held in the district in protest against the Government move to bring the Higher Secondary Department under the Director of Public Instruction. The association urged the Government to drop the move to hand over the control of public education to local bodies. - Staff Reporter
