KOCHI: Host Ernakulam, with a comfortable 52-29 win over Thiruvananthapuram, entered the boys' final of the 34th Airtel State sub-junior basketball championship at the Rajagiri School floodlit stadium, Kalamassery, on Friday. In the final, the home team will take on Pathanamthitta, which staved off a stiff challenge from Kottayam 39-34 in the other semifinal. The results (semifinals): Boys: Ernakulam 52 (Neil Williams 11, Deepak Chandal 10) bt Thiruvananthapuram 29 (J.L. Aneesh 14). Pathanamthitta 39 (Sarath Shankar 24) bt Kottayam 34 (Raju Chacko 10).
