Blood donation camp today

NEW DELHI: Pratibimb Welfare Society and Swaminarayan Akshardham are organising a blood donation camp at Akshardham Temple this Sunday.

Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat will inaugurate the camp and all major hospitals and blood banks, including the Red Cross, are participating. About 200 doctors will be on duty to oversee the daylong camp.

Dilli Haat to celebrate festivals

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation has organised a two-day cultural programme at Dilli Haat in Pitampura here to celebrate Baisakhi, Bihu, Masadi and Vishu festivals. Besides a Punjabi cultural programme by Ashok Masti and party, various art forms like `nadaswara', `bhangra', `taal vadyam' and `gidda' will be showcased on Sunday.

`City of Djinns' to be staged

NEW DELHI: Dreamtheatre will stage a theatrical presentation of William Dalrymple's "City of Djinns" at Maati Ghar of Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts here from April 16 to 26.

The production commemorates the 150th year of the Revolt of 1857 and salutes 60 years of India's independence.

Film and theatre personalities like Tom Alter, Zohra Segal and Shrivardhan Trivedi are part of the production. A highlight of the theatrical presentation will be that the venue will be converted into a zone of sights, sounds and smells that define Delhi.
