Bangalore: When Bangalore is already hosting two international events, BangaloreIT.in and Bangalore Bio, can another sunrise technology be left out? This November is likely to see the first annual Bangalore Nano being launched. The two-day event devoted to nanotechnology will have related conferences but few exhibits. No widely used nanotechnology devices are yet in the market, and there are only a few prototypes undergoing tests overseas. The Secretary for Information Technology and Biotechnology, M.N. Vidyashankar, says Bangalore Nano 2007 will have an academic component to expose technology students and graduates to the prospects in nanotechnology and another where the benefits and future products are expected to be demonstrated.
